Cultures have evolved over time. Like the fermentation process for kimchi, everything in an urn has an influence on the food’s final outcome. Major events, movements or traditions and customs in a society have a profound effect defining our cultures. In the year of a dialogue between Taiwan and South Korea, artist Chin-wen Cheng was commissioned to present two sketches to help us understand both cultures. The artwork was turned into a large installation, and continues to be worn as T-shirts or hand bags; a puzzle set would make great gifts for friends.
